Our Student Council Advisor is

Ife Tabakece, school counselor

Student Council focuses on leadership for the student body and is comprised of 5th graders.  To join student council, a learner must be nominated by their 5th grade teacher at the beginning of the year and then run in an election against other nominees.  Social Distancing and health protocols will be in place at all meetings.  Please see Mr. Ife for more information.

Our S.W.A.T. Advisor is unannounced at this time

S.W.A.T. stands for Service Without A Trace and is a group for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade learners at Gate City Elementary. Each month they participate in a service project at the school. The service projects are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 2:45-3:15 beginning in October and ending in April.  We meet on the platform in the library.  There aren't any dues or fees for the program and anyone can participate. Please join us. :)

Yearbook

John Humphrey, 5th grade teacher

Yearbook is a group of 5th graders who have applied for a job working on the yearbook.  More information about applying will be distributed at the beginning of school in the 5th grade classes.  Once the committee is formed, they will meet on the first Thursday of the month during 5th grade lunch in Mr. Humphrey's room.
